
Refund Policy

At Serotonin Sam, we value your trust and are committed to providing quality coaching, workshops, retreats, and speaking engagements. This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled to ensure clarity and fairness.
1. General Principles
All services are delivered with care and professionalism. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis, in line with South African consumer protection laws. Because services require preparation, time allocation, and (for retreats and/ workshops ) venue costs, some payments may be non-refundable.
2. Coaching Sessions
Coaching sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or refunded. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment may be charged in full and are generally non-refundable. If Serotonin Sam cancels a session, you will be offered a full refund or reschedule at no additional cost.
3. Workshops & Group Programs
Refund requests made 30 days or more before the scheduled workshop will be eligible for a full refund. Refund requests made less than 30 days before the event may be partially refundable, at our discretion. Once a workshop has begun, fees are non-refundable.
4. Retreats
Retreat bookings often involve upfront venue, catering, and preparation costs.
For this reason:
Deposits are generally non-refundable.
Cancellations made 30 days or more before the retreat may be eligible for a partial refund (excluding deposit). Cancellations made less than 30 days before the retreat are non-refundable, unless otherwise specified in the retreat terms. If the retreat is cancelled by the organiser, you will receive at lease a fifty percent refund at the discretion of the orgniser.
5. Speaking Engagements
Speaking engagement deposits are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled by the client less than 14 days before the engagement, the full speaking fee may still apply. If the event is cancelled by Serotonin Sam, a full refund (including deposit) will be issued.
6. Digital Products
Refunds for digital products (downloads, recordings, online courses) are not available once the product has been accessed, due to the nature of instant delivery.

8. Processing of Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–14 business days. Transaction fees from payment processors (e.g., PayFast, PayPal, Stripe) may be non-refundable.
9. Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
